Mathilde Becerra

Mathilde Becerra,
FRENCH CHAMPION (difficulty) 2016

Mathilde discovered climbing when she was 6 years old, thanks to a friend, but it was not until the age of 13 that she felt an irresistible urge to climb and progress. Having then put all her time and energy into the sport in just 3 years she became a member of the French Junior Team (difficulty). International climbing competitions followed and she often found herself on the podium of Junior World Cups.

In return, this sport and cross-country running (another passion) have enabled her to ‘take it to the limit’. She attributes her interior strength to both her determination and the support of those who know her.

In parallel with her top-level sporting career, she also graduated as an Energy Efficiency Engineer.
