the top french climber of the world circuit, difficulty
Romain came to climbing when at school at the age of 14. This sport soon became a passion and he decided to organise his life round it when 2 years later he enrolled in ’sport-studies’, climbing. An adopted ‘Chamoniard’, he put everything into his training in order to make up the level of his classmates, most of whom were already in the French team whilst he was only at a 6a level! His efforts paid off because a few years later he found himself first in the overall classification, World Cups. Today he is recognised for his single-mindedness in attaining his objectives, combined with rigorous training schedules.
His strength in climbing: resistance.
